Can one ever be truly secure?

Does Bill Gates or Mr. Lakshmi Mittal have any insecurity whatsoever????

I want to be secure in life. Any instructions how? Secure financially, socially, emotionally?

In my opinion everybody are always insecure about one or the other. Be it supporting family during crisis, losing your loved ones, career, relationships etc.

Being financially stable, taking health insurances, leading a good life style, earning social respect, save money – does this help to surmount the insecure feeling?

But then life is not planned. Who knows what happens next. Planned or not planned there are few things which is beyond anybody’s limit. Call it destiny or bad luck.

For now Insecurities are here to stay. So I’m sure Mr. Gates or Mr. Mittal have their insecurities to deal with. :)

Just Say No

Saying no or refusing is difficult to many of them. I feel it is no big deal. It is at least better than not responding & being ignorant.

Everybody have their reasons to say either a yes or no. Is it so difficult to confront & face it?

Whoever said saying no is rude. It isn’t. Its just being honest or straight forward. Yes it might hurt initially but does save the ordeal one has to go through in the process of waiting & expecting.

If something is not possible just say so. Simple.

You are the reason I dream

You are the reason I dream…

Amidst of all the chaos that’s around; I still think of your lazy smile..

Outside the window - its the rain or sunshine;

You are the reason I dream…

Every time I see a droplet on the leaves, or the breeze across the trees..

Its your thoughts that always run in mind..

Your are the reason I dream…

A hesitant smile on a child’s face or an uncertainty in a new bride

Reminds me you are always on my side..

Your are the reason I dream…

A touch so soft; a hold so strong; a presence like no other

Make me long for you..

Your are the reason I dream

Do's & Dont's

  • Wait for the right time. Patience does work.
  • Nobody is perfect. So don’t expect yourself to be.
  • Give enough space for everybody.
  • It is ok to get hurt..it is ok to make mistakes. But it is not ok to repeat them.
  • Get close yet maintain distance.
  • If people change - let them go.
  • Give out your weaknesses to only whom you trust.
  • Smile when you are nervous. Makes it easy.
  • Don't pursue anything that you know, will not work out. Its like desiring for an illusion.
  • Enjoy & spend time with family. They are best assets one can have.
  • Don’t expect unconditional love from anyone. It is meant only for Mother-children relationships.
  • Never ever have an affair with your best friend’s partner. It isn't about love or friendship. It is about trust.

Middle Man

We grow up with different people in school, college, work etc. We adapt ourselves while we are with them, to an extent we get influenced too.

Mind you, we get influenced only when we have the affinity or at least an iota of liking towards that particular quality.

A Middle Man is the one who is always hinged between the cross cultures of family & friends. More than often it is state of mind where you neither agree nor disagree.

It’s like the idea of a blind date – thou it is exciting & fun would I want to go on a blind date? – No.

Thou I agree there has to be compatibility between partners & the best way to know a person is to live with your partner, would I agree for a live-in? definitely No.

I neither protest a blind date or a live-in. It’s just that it is not for me. But these ideas or even gay relationships would be alien to our families.

As long as two people are happy – does anything else matter?

Sex & The City

This post isn’t about the movie, but this movie made me think, there are hardly or no movies on female friendship.

Why?

Sholay, yaarana, rock on, dil chahta hai, 3 idiots & the latest ZNBD (leaving the love triangle movies aside) are all movies on male friendship.

Is it because friendship is not important to women as much as it is for men or may be because women don’t pursue friendship at some point like men.

I tend to agree on the latter.

Generally, the girl “gang” does not continue being a gang after school / college.I guess it is so because once you are out of studies, you get so engrossed in work, new people, proving yourself, deadlines & then families. But hey, is it not the same with men as well?

Then why & how is it that men always make time for old buddies unlike us. Sad but true.

Catching up with an old friend is probably the last or does not exist in our priority list but men don’t give up on their standard “hang out” time. Even if is a few minutes call men are never out of touch with their friends and are always updated with the current happenings in each other lives.

With us friendship does take a back seat after a point of time. No?

Cheers to all the Machas :)

Singleton Zindabad

What better option for a first blog than writing about what seems to be an ongoing problem – Marriage.

First things first – is there a right age for marriage? If yes, what age bracket is it? 23-25, 25-27, 27-30 or 30+?How does one plan their life especially regarding marriage.

It amazed me when my friend said he always wanted to get married when he was 28 & have first kid after 2 years of marriage. Surprisingly, he did.

But common, with how many people does this happen? If things go as planned most of the problems would be solved by half.

Yes, you need to plan & it does help, but planning a marriage/ kids is something I definitely cant.

And….I strongly feel there is a sense of anticipation around someone who is single which I thoroughly enjoy :)

Largely, people think 23-25 & 25-27 is the right time because one tends to be more flexible, matured & you can support your children well. But then life is so unpredictable how do know you will live long enough let alone supporting children.

For me it’s about right time & not about right age.

How do know what works & what doesn't. Marriage is a risk that one has to take. So why not delay it as much as you can..;)

Meanwhile enjoy your singleton :)
